Lovelace has released a new poster featuring star Amanda Seyfried as the titular porn star turned women’s rights activist – Linda Lovelace.
Okay, maybe the poster isn’t as provocative as one might expect for a movie featuring a porn star, but lets not forget that ‘sex appeal’ is only an afterthought here – the movie is mainly about the relationship between Lovelace and her brutish husband Chuck Traynor (Peter Sarsgaard), who pressurises her into joining the porn industry.
Directed by Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman, Lovelace shows how, having shot to fame in the controversial Deep Throat, Lovelace abandons the adult entertainment business in favour of a new career campaigning for women’s rights.
Seyfried is going to be supported by the likes of Wes Bentley, James Franco, Sarah Jessica Parker and Sharon Stone. Lovelace is expected to arrive later this year, with a release date still to be confirmed, but in the meantime, you can have a look at the saucy poster below…
