Now that we’ve seen Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America, The Incredible Hulk and The Avengers, what next you ask… well Marvel have the answer. In order to help you figure out what happened in each movie in relation to the others, the official Marvel Cinematic Universe Timeline has been unveiled, which shows all that happened leading up to the Avengers, including which scenes from each of the solo movies actually happened at the same time. Library staff in Colombia have found a new way to promote reading among children and advertise one of the services they provide. My Modern Met is reporting that Colsubsidio (a library chain) has teamed up with an ad agency to create these unique posters, which feature classic storybook characters hidden within images of other classic storybook characters, utilizing the tagline, “Come with a story and leave with another.” The aim is to promote Colsubsidio’s libraries book exchange programme and also give children a fun thing to do while thinking of books.  (more…)

Former Disney Character Artist and Photographer Ryan Astamendi, has created a fun series of real life Disney princesses (plus Jessica Rabbit – not a Disney princess) featuring human models who look frighteningly similar to the characters they’re portraying, complete with fairy tale outfits and everything. And in contrast, another artist, Dina Goldstein, created a less than joyful rendition of  what they (the princesses) will look like if they were living in current times – her photos were taken way back in 2009, but I needed them to complete the story, so… Read on for all the photographs.
