The latest teaser trailer for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 is out, and there isn’t much to say about it. If you’re a fan, prepare to pee yourself, if not, might as well watch and see what all the fuss is about, but don’t expect to be converted, in fact, you may even get more annoyed that this thing hasn’t ended yet.  (more…)

The latest movie from the acclaimed director of the Mirror BoyObi Emelonye is to be released in London in about a week’s time. The movie – which has its concept and inspiration driven from the series of tragedies that rocked the nation’s aviation sector in 2006 – has been dedicated to the memory of all who lost their lives in the two ill-fated crashes that involved Allied Air and Dana Air, penultimate Sunday, in Accra and Lagos.  (more…)

House star, Hugh Laurie, looks set to make what could be the biggest step in his acting career. After eight seasons of playing the annoying, sarcastic, brilliant and loveable Gregory House in the hit TV Show, House, Hugh Laurie is in talks to play the villain in MGM’s remake of RoboCop. The news was first broken by Variety, although MGM have refused to comment on it.  (more…)

With the debate on who should direct the Hunger Games sequel, Catching Fire, now well and truly behind us, we can all look forward to actual movie news, and the latest coming from movie sites all over is that Philip Seymour Hoffman has been offered the role of Plutarch Heavensbee, the new Gamemaker at the Capitol after Seneca Crane (Wes Bentley) was creatively executed at the end of The Hunger Games. In the books, Heavensbee plays a more critical role than Crane did so its probably a good either to give it to such a great talent.

The folks over at ComingSoon.net have done us a solid. November cannot come early enough for most of us. For some its because the final twilight movie is finally coming, for others its because the twilight saga is finally coming to an end. Be that as it may, summit entertainment, the guys behind the movie, have decided to start releasing teasers of the movie, including this latest image of what looks to be a family portrait of the latest member of the Cullens.  (more…)

The immensely entertaining Marvel’s the Avengers has not only sent scores of fans home with the biggest smiles on their faces for a very, very long time, it also seems to have revitalised our yearning for superhero movies. We don’t have to look far to satisfy this craving though, what with Sony’s the Amazing Spider-Man and Warner Bros’ the Dark Knight Rises just around the corner. The unfortunate move to postpone the release date of G.I. Joe: Retaliation by a little under 9 months is a bit disappointing, but at least now Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel will have some company when it hits theatres in 2013.  (more…)
