A new spot for Oliver Stone’s Savages has hit the internet, and I have to say its looking more and more like a movie that’ll make my day. Although only 30 seconds long, this TV spot does its job admirably. A simple voice over sets the scene, concise dialogue names the stakes and then we get explosive imagery proving how serious the situation really is. Follow that up with a star-powered role call, a booming soundtrack and a catchy grand finale and you’ve got an unforgettable TV spot. (more…)

Its sunday, Easter Sunday at that, and so there’s really not much going on, movie news wise, this is the first slow news day I’m experiencing and I’m not sure how to handle it. I have no idea what I’m going to talk about today, so I’m just going to ramble a bit. How about we go through all that has happened this past week and appreciate what April has brought? Cool?
